At Aaroha, we believe that every child deserves a chance to dream, learn, and succeed, regardless of their background. Recently, we had the privilege of extending our support to the dedicated students of Shiv Shikshan Sanstha in Sion, a school that serves a community often overlooked. We donated ₹50,000 to help clear unpaid fees for these resilient young minds, and today, we want to share why this initiative matters so deeply to us. This generous contribution aims to assist students from economically challenged backgrounds, primarily hailing from neighborhoods like Dharavi, Chunabhatti, and Pratiksha Nagar.

When one of our team mate Juee Manjrekar who is also part of alumni of this primary school come to us with this story of struggle, we came to know that many of these students face extraordinary challenges, with some being raised by single parents or even being orphans. Their families often struggle to make ends meet, with parents working as domestic helpers or selling vegetables in local markets. Despite these hardships, these families remain committed to their children’s education, hoping to pave a brighter future for them.

The resilience shown by these students is truly inspiring. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed, regardless of their circumstances. Our donation is a small step to encourage their efforts and relieve some of their financial burdens.These Students at Shiv Shikshan Sanstha have been excelling in their studies, showcasing their determination to rise above the challenges they face. The support from Aaroha will not only help clear their pending fees but also motivate them to continue pursuing their education with renewed vigor.

The initiative has been met with gratitude from the school administration and the families of the students, who expressed hope that more organizations will step in to provide support. “This donation will make a real difference in our students’ lives,” said Professor Sandeep Parade, Senior Teacher at School. “It allows them to focus on their studies instead of worrying about their financial situation.”
